Why this conversation now

Finance is changing.

Artificial intelligence is transforming how financial services are designed, delivered and consumed. But technological progress does not automatically translate into inclusive progress.

In emerging markets, AI could reduce barriers to financial access, improve risk assessment and expand opportunities for underserved communities. It could also deepen existing inequalities if access, data, infrastructure and algorithmic decision-making remain uneven.

This lecture explores the opportunity — and the responsibility — at the intersection of artificial intelligence and financial inclusion.
